Minutes to Midnight

As expected of a typical fan, you’ll buy the new album straight the day it’s released and of course you’ll buy ORIGINAL! Support them for their work and effort in stringing together a song because it ain’t ez putting a song together that can sound seamless.

I won’t reference to pop songs since those singers usually have people to produce their songs and all they need to do is sing well and look nice and beauitful while singing. But not all pop singers rely on other people to produce their songs, there are good singers/song-writers around. So kudos to them, you should also buy their records, ORIGINAL of course.

Back to Minutes to Midnight, it’s the new album by Linkin Park (LP) and it’s released today world wide and on the 15th in the US. So ppl outside US get to buy the album earlier. Yea! I’m quite surprised that LP finally use the F*** word in their new work. Because what made them unique is that they use angst in their songs without any profanities in their previous albums. So this may not fare too well with their fans who liked them because of their "clean"iness. Personally, I find the whole album extremely well done. The music has grown since Meteora.

I really like the usual hard rocking songs like Given Up, Bleed It Out, No More Sorrow. So far I find those 3 songs sound like what they usually do, pure hard rocking angst!

Then songs like Leave Out All The Rest and Shadow of The Day is quite sentimental. What I’ve Done and The Little Things Give You Away touched on more serious issues. The MV for What I’ve Done is really meaningful and shows the problems the world is facing. When you watch the MV, you’ll feel like it’s humankind singing "what have we done?" The latter have some influences to the Hurricane Katrina that wiped out New Orleans.

Overall, I feel LP has progressed substantially. Again, this is only my views and it does not represent the views of all Linkin Park’s fans. I hope their fans can grow up to the music as well because it’s a pity if you cant relate to them.

When my time comes, forget the wrong that I’ve done and help me leave behind some reasons to be missed.

Time to say good bye or just try?

So what do men see in the women they r pursuing? Beauty? Brains? Character? Everyone’s needs are different, but if needs differ from time to time, won’t it be a nightmare to change partner from time to time? Apparently some ppl do that. If your partner just cannot adapt to your change of needs, what will you do by then? Ditch her? Try to live with it? Get her to compromise?

There is of course no specific solution to this. Everyone has their own ways to deal with such. And my blog certainly don’t provide the answers to that. Different aliments require different remedies. So what happens if you just stay the same? Won’t you just remind the same and not progress while your peers are moving on. Quite a headache if you ask me.

I was just thinking of the problems above recently and realised it’s important to have someone who understand and respect your goals and needs. Even if your goals are not desirable, your partner should still respect them because they love you for who you truely are. People do attempt to change certain traits and characters of their partner, in the hope of them becoming a more desirable person. However, it’s a forgotten fact that the more you try to change a human’s mindset and school of thought, the more resistance you’ll face?

It’s interesting that despite this fact, people still attempt to change their partners in the hope that some miracle will happen. I wonder if this is the case of day dreaming for the best without thinking about the worse case scenario.

So after looking at this complicated thing called men-women love relationship, I kinda gather this funny thought.

Singlehood = Free Market (anyone can just meet anyone and interact with them)
Dating relationship = Unpredictable stock market volatility
Long term relationship = Long term investment
Marriage = Long term investment plus dividends

Just a simple and funny way to describe the stages of a man-woman relationship. Not meant to offend anyone though.
