1st interview
Ok,
I went for my interview this morning at a IT Company located at
Tampines for the position, Sales & Marketing Executive. The job
scope is manageable and the pay ain’t too bad for a freshie like me
since I’m new into this field. (Can’t ask for more since I’m a noob).
Everything about this job is good except for the fact that it’s an
Indian IT Company, which means most of the staff are not locals, mostly
from Indian where they set up a branch office in Singapore.
The
moment I stepped into the office and I know I’ll have a great deal of
difficulty trying to get used to it. I took a glimpse around the area
and only found 2 chinese dudes. Wat a great shock to me. Man oh man.
Really wonder should I turn down the offer…
When I went thru
the interview I know I’m in for a ride coz of their heavily accented
english. (Oh my GOD! How can I work like this???) I had to ask my
interviewer to repeat almost every questions coz I really cant catch
his words. I could tell he was quite pissed. The 2nd interviewer was a
friendly indian lady but stil her accented english is a real problem to
me. When it was the 3rd interviewer’s turn, I felt like surrendering.
However,
I kinda like the opportunities it presented to me. It’s very
challenging and it sure provides me a great room to learn about market
research and coordination. I’ll stay on just for the chance to learn.
This is a great chance for my to get outta my comfort zone and to
absorb more. Coz I believe a person learn most when they are outta
their comfort zone.
Now I gotta meet out with my frens more often jus to provide the mental support that I need. GOD help me~~~
